The UWIAA Florida Chapter Pelican Awards Luncheon

The Pelican Awards Luncheon on Oct 28, 2023, in Ft Lauderdale was "a monumental success", according to Dr Beverly Fray, one of the awardees - and I have to agree that it was an enriching & enjoyable afternoon - one which has resulted in pledges of more involvement and financial contributions. Florida continues to be active and has had 4 events during this Anniversary year! The UWI Director Alumni Relations, CDF, works closely with the international Chapters and was invited to represent The UWI. October 28th was also declared UWIAA Florida Chapter Day by the Vice-Mayor of Miramar who attended and will be working with the Director to involve younger graduates, and these young alumni will be starting signature annual events.
